Safe + Sound Campaign: As an Employer, Show Your Employees Your Commitment to Safety and Health

Workers are, of course, the heart of every business and your greatest resource, so as their employer, ensure that each employee leaves your job site at the end of a work day in an identical state of well-being that each individual enjoyed at the beginning of each shift.  You can get started by scheduling a Safety Walk-Around.  OSHA has a Fact Sheet entitled “Safety Walk-Around for Managers,” which provides guidelines that will assist employers in conducting inspections designed to help evaluate the effectiveness of existing current safety and health efforts, and those guidelines include information on effective communication techniques with line, staff, and management concerning job health and safety hazards.

PROTECTING WAREHOUSE WORKERS

Preventing injuries starts with identifying workplace hazards before they lead to incidents. We have renewed our National Emphasis Program (NEP) to protect the safety and health of warehouse and distribution center workers.
